are often run over by the wheel while crossing the road.
However steps should be taken to
make sure drivers abide by traffic rules. Exemplary punishment should be meted
out to those who are held responsible for road accidents. The old vehicles
should not allow playing in the road.
Pedestrians should be encouraged to
use the footpath and over bridge while crossing the road. The people from all
walks of life should come forward to tackle the problem jointly. Last of all,
the government should lunch a programme to tackle it and enforce law and order
strictly to curb road accidents.
The Importance of Learning English
English is an International Language. True to
say that the world cannot go for a single day without English. It is widely
spoken and written language in the world. Most of the records, documents and particulars
are written in English. All the journals, magazines, articles and papers are
also written in English. So without knowing English it is quite impossible for
us to know the latest information, invention and new discoveries. The world is
running so fast. We know that it is the age of information, communication
technology and science. All the internet activities are conducted in English.
To connect with the other person of the world within a moment, to send any
application, document and other writing material there is other language but
English. In order to keep pace with the world there is no other alternative to
learning English. As a smart, modern, civilized and wise person one should
learn English. Not only this, but also to be a higher educated person English
is a must. If we want to earn vast knowledge and higher education in any
branch, we are to take help from the books which are written in English. It is
clear to us that the world seeks the person who knows English well. He can
easily get service, mix with the other persons, enjoys more opportunities than

mother tongue. So we need to learn English to communicate with them. From this
we can say that we need to learn English to join the advanced and developed

early riser has many advantages. The man who rises early in the morning finds
time to take some exercise or a walk in the morning air. He had nothing to
worry. He is never in haste. An early riser has enough time to work; he
can earn more and become wealthy. A late riser is a lazy man. He spends his
most valuable time idly. He who rises late starts his work late. He suffers
from dullness, dizziness, and drowsiness and also various other diseases. So we

the autumn the sky remains cloudless and the moon looks like a big silver disc
in the sky. The shiny light of the moon floods the earth and the sky. The
moon’s rays reflecting on seas, rivers, ponds and hills create a music spell.
When the moon pours her light on the waves of water, it sparkles like a

always represents the independence of a country. A national flag is the symbol
of independence of a nation. Every nation of world has a national flag of its
own. Being a free nation, we have a national flag of our own. The national flag
is the symbol of our national integrity, solidarity and sovereignty. We
achieved our national flag at the cost of a sea of blood in 1971. Our national
flag is very beautiful to look at. It is rectangular in size. The size of our
national flag is 10:6. It is made of cotton, linen or silk. There are two
colours of our national flag. One is red and another is green. The green colour
of it symbolize for everlasting youth, freshness and vigour of the nation. It
also symbolizes the greenery of Bangladesh. The red colour symbolizes the
rising sun of independence with new hopes and aspiration of a new nation. The
flag is hoisted everyday on top of our important government buildings and
educational institutions. It is hoisted everywhere on the Independence Day and
the victory day. Our national flag is the source of our spirit, hopes and
aspiration. So we must defend its glory, purity, existence and prestige at any
cost.
A Traffic Jam
When too many vehicles try to move
along a street or a road at a time, it is called traffic jam. It is a common
scenery and great problem in big cities and towns in our country. There are
many reasons of it. One of the reasons of it is that our existing roads and
streets are narrow. Secondly, lots of rickshaws that ply on the roads and
streets often block the roads and create traffic jam. As most of the
rickshaw-pullers are illiterate and ignorant of traffic rules. They often break
the traffic rules and create traffic jam. Again most of the drivers of the cars
and buses in our country drive their vehicles at their sweet will, which is
another cause of traffic jam. Wrong parking and unnecessary overtaking of
vehicles are also responsible for traffic jam. Owing to traffic jam, people
have to wait on the roads for several hours. It kills their valuable time and
hampers their work. Many people fail to attend their office and workplace in
time. It causes great sufferings to a serious patient being carried in an
ambulance to hospitals and clinics. We want to get rid of this problem. To
overcome the problem, the existing narrow roads and streets should be
broadened. One way movement of vehicles should be introduced and flyovers have
to be constructed in certain areas where traffic jam occurs. Beside these, the
traffic authority needs to be more careful to enforce traffic rules. Above all,
everybody should follow the traffic rules in order to avoid the traffic
jam.

forest, take your town’’, Says Rabindranath Tagore. By these lines he tries
to convince us about the importance of trees. We are closely associated with
trees. Tree plantation means planting trees more and more. It is not possible
to lead and happy peaceful life without trees. There is ample of a
forestation in Bangladesh. Sea beaches, low laying areas can be brought under
the scheme of a forestation. Tree plays an important role in our daily life.
They are used for different purposes. In order to live we need oxygen. Trees
give us that oxygen. They give us food and fruits. They also provide of
shelter. We get timber from trees and without timber we cannot make houses,
furniture, boats, launches etc. Trees also prevent air pollution. Without trees
land becomes a desert. Trees protect the country from the harmful green house
effect. To preserve our environment we should plant more and more trees. Tree
plantation programmer should be expanded to the remote corner of the country.
Government should take necessary steps to make the people interested in
planting trees. For this reason government should make T.V or, radio programmer
on the subjects of a forestation. It is a matter of joy that the government of
our country makes a massive campaign of tree plantation every year. Trees are
part and parcel of our life. The necessity of trees and the importance of tree
plantation cannot be ignored in any way. So it is our burden duty to plant
trees and take care of them.

A School Library
is a part and parcel of an educational institution. A School library is
the place which can help a student to satisfy his thirst for knowledge. A
school library is a room which contains different kind of books. A school
library is a store house of knowledge. Any student can enrich his intelligence
in a school library. Our school has a big library. It is on the first floor of
the school building. Our school library is well-decorated. There are three big
rooms in it. The two rooms are reading room. In the other room books are
arranged in almirahs. Boys and girls have separate room. There are about 4,000
books in our library. Only the students can read and borrow books from the
library. For this they are issued library cards. A student can borrow two or
three books at a time and keep them at home for a week. It remains open from
9.a.m to 5.p.m. Our school library is a great attraction for us. We cannot
think our school without it. We are proud of our school library.
Load shedding
Load shedding
has become a regular affair in our country. Load shedding means the suspension of
the supply of electricity for a certain period. The causes of load
shedding are many. The production of electricity is less than we need. Misuse
of electricity is the main cause of electricity. Illegal connection of
electricity is also responsible for load shedding. On the other hand,
government is not sincere to produce to produce electricity in proportion to
our demand. Again the number of mills and factories, offices, houses, shopping
centers, hospitals, educational institutions etc. is increasing day by day. It
is also a reason for load shedding. Load shedding causes great sufferings
to the people and great loss to the country. At that time, A.C. lights, fans
etc. cannot function. At night there is complete darkness. People cannot work ease
in shops, offices and cannot function normally. In summer we cannot sleep. We
sweat in heat. Children, old people and patients suffer much. Due to load
shedding even operations are stopped. Students suffer most. They cannot read
and take preparation for their examinations. Due to load shedding production in
mills and factories is decreased. Fresh food taken in the refrigerator gets
rotten. National production decreased. As a result the situation of load
shedding is becoming very serious. But as a civilized nation we should
not let load shedding continue. So the government and the people should work
hand and hand for getting rid of load shedding by producing more electricity.
On the other hand, our government should take immediate steps to remove this
problem from our national life.
